Having trouble with large file downloads

I can't finish large file downloads (specifically, I'm trying to grab FF7 files). They stop at random points, from 2 mb in to 100 mb in. Also happened with a few other files but they were small enough that I was able to re-download and complete them in a few tries. Tested large files elsewhere. Saw there was an issue with this that was fixed in Feb 2010, thought I'd try the message board after troubleshooting for an hourish.
