That made a difference. Three attempts today failed at 2.0 - 2.43 GB; the variance can be accounted for by traffic conditions. If you have a timeout set at around one hour, that would explain it. The download is probably working now for anyone with a connection ~15 Mbit or faster.

Bah, what a pain. Okay, I've tried another approach and it seems to work. I tested .hack Vol 2 (3.1G) and Guitar Hero: Metallica (4.5G) and was able to open both games.
