Assuming that you haven't changed the default settings, press 'v' on your keyboard. Otherwise, go to Input > Input Configuration and see what key represents the 'A' button of the SNES controller.

I downloaded the ROM for Star Ocean on Super Nintendo here a couple of days ago and it opens up, but once it gets to the title screen I can't progress. The title pops up, the background works as it should but it won't bring up the New Game, Load Game, or Options selections like it should so I can't get past the screen. I am using Snes9x. Any suggestions?
