SNES9x on MacBook Pro

Hi
I am having difficulty installing the SNES9x on my MacBook Pro. I got a retrolink super Nintendo control with USB connector for Christmas. When I double click on the file snes9x-1.5.3-macosx.dmg, I get the message "The following disk images couldn't be opened: snes9x-1.53-macosx- no mountable file systems". What do I need to do differently?
