I actually tried this game myself a few weeks back. They keep the framerate high by having no more than three sprites on the screen at one time. There seems to be less than twenty objects on the screen total, including enemies.

The framerate is still a big high regardless, though. It reminds me of Darkman, but with better controls.

James Rolfe, or AVGN posted up a video of Bio Force Ape, after doing some searching I found it myself online, it was about a month ago that I found it. Cant remember exactly where but it would be awesome if you guys were to add this one to your collection. After all it is "Blast Processing" for the NES (take THAT genesis. ;p)
