From what you say, it sounds like the E-Mails weren't actually saved on the computer to begin with. The contents of your E-Mail account were probably erased some time after the account was blocked.

I only used that account via the web interface; that's where it said the account was blocked. Likely because I tried to log in by proxy.

What's the point of having an additional security question if they don't respect the correct reply?
