| This game is kind of like Tetris so if you like tetris I would give this game a shot! Basically there is a naked woman at the bottom of the screen taking a bubble bath. Different color bubbles come up in different shapes. You have to match the colored bubbles together in rows of four or more and when you do the bubbles pop. Basically like tetris. You can move the shape of the bubbles around a little but you want the colors of the bubbles to match so that they will disappear and the you get points etc. etc. blah blah blah. Graphics: 8 I say the graphics are pretty good. Simply for the fact that there is a naked woman at the bottom of the screen that moves a little bit and different color bubbles come from her bubble bath. The woman isn't detailed or anything but yet you can tell she is naked and yes you can tell it is a woman. Sound: 8 The sound isn't anything special just a plain jane type of music that plays in the background and some little sound effects when you match the bubbles together and get points. Gameplay: 8 The game play is fun if you like the tetris type puzzle game. Match the colored bubbles and they disappear. The more bubbles you match the more points you get. Simple fact but it does take some skill to get the bubbles in the right place and determine where you can put the next bubbles that you will have to work with. Overall: 8 I like this game in the since that it is original. This is one of the first "adult rated" games that I have ever seen for Nes. Adult rated being that there is a naked woman at the bottom of the screen but nothing hardcore. So if you're looking for an orginal puzzle type game such as tetris with a little nudity then I suggest you try this game out. If all else fails at least you will get a few laughs at the fact that there is a game such as this for nes. Try it out! I REPEAT THIS GAME DOES HAVE MILD NUDITY IN IT SO IF YOU DONT WANT TO GET IN TROUBLE FOR SEEING A NAKED WOMAN THEN DONT PLAY IT! OTHERWISE IT'S PRETTY COOL! |

| Ah, let's see. A porn game for the NES? Nah, sounds too far fetched. However, Panesian seemed to out-do themselves on this one! Basically, a puzzle game in which there is a naked woman bathing on the bottom of the screen, and up floats these cute little bubbles. The object is to pop the bubbles by matching like colors together, without hitting the bottom of the screen. Graphics: 7 Okay, first off, the graphics. Yeah, they may seem a little cheesy at first by modern standards, but this is the NES for crying out loud. The first thing you'll notice is the woman at the bottom of the screen, who seems a very proportional, natural pose, and the colors, although of a somewhat limited palette, work very well together. The bubbles are very cute, consisting of blue, green, yellow, and red mellow tones. After beating every two levels, you are greeted by a sexy babe in a provacative pose (this is, after all, an adult game), with little cheezy text messages like "Bubbling Bunny wants you to pop my Bubbles..." Good incentive to keep playing :@) There are a total of 12 different poses altogether in the game (13 including the nude bubble-bather at the bottom), but what makes them original is that each features a small, simple 2-frame animation, which somewhat breaths life into otherwise static figures. Even the intro has a little yellow dot orbiting around it, making it look "spacey". Sound: 8 The music in this game is very catchy. The little tune at the intro seems to accent the "Oh my god, this can't be real" reaction when you first open the ROM and/or plug in the cartrage. There are two selections of background music to choose from when you start the game, which I think is a very good idea in case you get bored listening to one or the other. Both are very light-hearted and playful. Thirdly, when you beat another level and get the girl, the jingle in the background just sticks in your head and stays with you even after you switch the game off. Gameplay: 9 Probably the best asset of this game is the unique feel of the game-play. Basically, it is one really fun puzzle game that is like a cross between an upside-down tetris and jewels, plus the unique feel of a hexagon-type grid as opposed to the standard square grid. Like in tetris, various clusters of multi-colored bubbles pop out, but instead of rotating, the A and B buttons flip the piece horizontally and vertically, also giving it a unique feel. If they pile all the way to the bottom, the game is over, but you do get three continues (although doing so voids your chance to enter your new high score). Just like in Jewels where you have to cluster three in a row, in Bubble Bath Babes, clusters of four or more of the same color are cleared simultaneously. Just watch out for those holes!!! Overall: 8 Overall, this is just one kick-butt puzzle game, however if you don't like puzzle games or nudey pics, then this isn't for you. Even without the "adult" factor, this would still be a very fun, addictive game. As an added bonus, once you beat all six levels on all four stages, then after entering your top score, you get rewarded with a parade of all 12 poses in succession, along with that catchy intermission music that by then you've probably come to love. Although relatively mild by today's standards, I believe that Bubble Bath Babes definitely scores two thumbs up on originality, and if you are into rare, unusual, or controversial NES games, then this a must-have to add to your collection :@) |
