Top Gear 3000 was an awesome game at its time. This futuristic racer combined superb graphics, fast paced gameplay, and upbeat music.

The graphics in Top Gear 3000 were incredible. Harnessing the power of the DSP-4 chip, the game was capable of having multiple paths on the tracks and amazing visuals. The cars and backdrops were very well detailed. All that detail and the game runs with a uncompromising high FPS. (Frames per second)

Sound: 10
Top Gear has some of the best music that ever graced the SNES. The music is inspired by techno/sci-fi themes, and the music will always get you heart pumping for the next race. Even the main menu music is top notched.

Gameplay: 10
This game had some great gameplay features that are apparent in a lot of current racers today. The first is the multiple track paths. Top Gear's roads had multiple paths to take and countless hidden paths through out the game. Another great gameplay feature was the upgrade system. After every race the player would earn credits, depending on what place he/she got. Then between races you could use those credits to upgrade you futuristic cars' components. One of my favorite upgrades was the hydrogen engine.

Overall: 10
Overall, I give Top Gear 3000 a perfect score. Okay, I might be a little biased, but this has to be one of the best racing games ever. Not even the new Top Gears have been this good. This is one of those games I keep coming back again and again. Not only for nostalgic reasons, but because the game is so DAMN FUN! Anyway, thanks Top Gear 3000 for the memories and for carpel tunnel syndrome.
