The first time I ever heard Metallica was the pre-rendered intro cutscene. I thought the song -- "Fuel" -- was the coolest thing I'd ever heard. Then my childhood best friend's religious mom told us they worship Satan :^)

Nothing to write home about. Not going for realism as we're dealing with toy cars. Nice variety of environments across the spectrum of levels keeps it interesting.

Sound: 7
Repetitive sound effects. The music is actually pretty decent, though... some name recognition with artists such as Meat Beat Manifesto, Link Wray, Reverend Horton Heat, Mixmaster Mike, Primus.

Gameplay: 5
For the most part the controls are reasonable, but some of the temporary modifiers/items behave weirdly and you often have to use the "Default" button to reset your vehicle. Makes you wonder why they added that as a button.

Overall: 7
Decently entertaining nonrealistic racing game with shortcuts and hidden cars to explore. Gameplay suffers from quirks.

Stay away from Satan... or don't ;)
