This was the first game I ever got for my 8-bit NES and it's still my favorite wrestling game. You have a choice of a mere 6 wrestlers, from the biting amazon, to the jumping chop of Kin Korn Karn. From the Giant Panther to King Slender, whos backbreaker is the only use the A button by itself ever has. From fighter Hayabusa and his awesome back brain kick (Bad News Brown called it the Ghetto-Blaster during his late 80's heyday) to Star Man the kick-ass acrobatic kicker.

You work your way through the ranks of the VWA until the title match with King Slender (or Giant Panther if you use the King). After you're the VWA champ, you defend your title 10 times in order to face the Great Puma, VWF champ.

He's one tough mother but you get the famous reward for beating him:

A WINNER IS YOU!!

Hint: I've read it's easier to count Great Puma out than it is to pin him, or so the two announcer pixels tell me. I've pinned him but he's hard.
