I used to play this game against my cousin all the time, and I thought this game was the bomb (with respect to Baseball stars, love that game too). This game has a very sweet hitting perspective where you can tell how high and low the ball goes (unlike most where you assume it's just down the middle). Batting is great you can swing away, middle, inside, up, and down (funny that swinging downwards looks like you're pulling out a 9 iron). The only flaw this game has is the fielding, it is automatic (you can control the fielder if you wish), however on pop ups your fielder will be set to catch it and just as he's about to catch it, it drops for a cheapass hit (always happens with 2 outs!), then the next batter pops a 3 run homer when you should of been out of the inning. Pisses me off but learned that you need to move the fielder as soon as he's about to catch it (make that a memo to all of you who download this). Currently I have a friend up here at college who loves this game and will never stop playing as Jersey (Yeah for those classic NESer's, you know the team with that godlike player PASTE, batting .467 and 60 homers, of course there's bonds but that batting average, damn!). Of course there's that incredible GHOST GLOVE when throwing way out the zone and our lovable YUK DUM BOO BUM umpiring crew. Looking for a great baseball game that doesn't try to dazzle you with graphics and frustrate you with horrific gameplay (Careful some of these NES baseball games suck like MLB and Tecmo Baseball)? Get back to the NES kingdom and play some classic Bases Loaded, you may get hooked again like I did!
