This was one of the best games released for the PS2 when it came for Gundam. I never watched the anime at the time and by only playing the games learned enough from the events in the game to understand the story at large. It was the last Vs Gundam game that really mixed the completive aspect of the game with solid single player content.

Graphics: 8
Every Mobile suit and map are both to scale and sized to be as they would be in game. Uses mobile suit launchs before every game mode that look like they come right out of the anime. With it's solid/ blocky looks the graphic haven't aged at all while still looking very much like they came from the anime.

Sound: 7
You have to turn the sound effect and music nearly off to have even a chance of hearing anyone talking during the action cut scene section of the game. However the game does use sound from the anime and other Gundam media so the beam rifle sounds like the Gundam beam rifle. The Gundam walking sounds like the Gundam walking. Along with that the game uses all songs from other media as well so you feel like a pilot from the anime.

Gameplay: 9
The game uses s 2v2 style with your AI controlling your second suit. The AI is really smart so there are few times were the partner is the reason the team loses the map. The game also has an endless wave mode where you pick your suit for space and ground along with your partner. This endless is one of the few 2 player parts of the game so you can bring a friend and do split screen action. This is something many newer Vs gundam games do not have so it's a treat. Along with that it has lots to unlock.

Can be a bit grindy when trying to preform a mission where someone who is meant to die can live and alter the story line.

Overall: 10
At least for me it was a great game which I greatly enjoyed. The game has a lot of end game content and tunes to unlock, along with telling a number of extra stories depending on how deep you get into the game so you can find more and more to play.

If you enjoyed Gundam Federation Vs Zeon, then this game will give you more of what you loved. If you enjoyed Gundam or Zeta Gundam, this game will let you live the story faithfully. If you want a fun Mecha time sink this is also a good one.
