I think everyone in this community needs to do some research into something called "abandoned properties." most if not all the games here have been abandoned by the development companies/game system manufacturers and are no longer supported. this site may or may not fall under that category but most companies (except maybe Nintendo) aren't going to waste the time and resources (or money) going after sites like this unless Vimm starts charging its users. That is a whole different arena. if you are worried about being hunted down by the nintendo ninjas then i suggest you buy and dump your own games.

I think if you already own a license of the software (you own a Super Mario World game cartridge for example), it is legal to download so you can Super Mario World on a newer system. Otherwise it is piracy.

Moral is the other issue, since for the most part you can not purchase a license for any of the software available here.
