Freedom isn't an exact copy of any of the game in the series, though it is based on the format in Monster Hunter G which is technically an expansion of the original Monster Hunter. Adding the english patch to an iso is super easy if you use something like winzip to put it into the file. Though, if you don't want to mess with tracking it down, Freedom Unite is pretty much the biggest Monster Hunter game there is and MH2 is a little weird to play these days since it uses the very bizarre stick attack controls. So I guess unless you are just wanting 2 because you've never played it or for a collection or something, I'd say go with Freedom U cause it's a great entry in the series.

This game is also on the Ps2 though Doliphin seems to be able to force english in japanese games? Either ways there are english patches for Monster Hunter 2 on Ps2. Is there a way to get a .iso or something? Or is Monster Hunter Freedom for the Psp basically an exact copycat of Monster Hunter 2?
