Re: Akumajyou Densetsu or Akumajou Densetsu?

This does seem like a weird translation error as there is a Japanese title screen for the original version of the game. The Japanese sound for the syllable that sounds like "gee" is simplified in English as "Ji" rather than "Jy" as the sound of Japanese syllables rarely change and thus are almost always written the same way in English. So I think someone just messed up or was trying to make up for how it should sound to someone who might not speak Japanese or know how the syllable sounds work? From what I was able to find of the translation the correct name would be Akumajou Densetsu. and the title Akumajyou is basically gibberish since there doesn't exist a "Jyo" sound. *shurg*

Yeah I know, I saw that as well. I'm wondering why it is that way though? Is it something to do with the translation? Like in German, they have a letter that looks like this "ö", but in English, because we don't have it, we instead use "oe". So the city of Göttingen is spelled "Goettingen" in English.
Or is it maybe a play on word or something like that and not a literal translation?

Like, it just seems weird that a translator would make a typo on the title screen. That seems like kind of a big mistake
