Also, what operating system are you using?
That message "disk can not be read" seems really weird. Can you screen cap it and upload it to imgur.com? It sounds like a message you would get from the actual physical console when it can't read a disk

I just tried it with version 5.0-11824 and it still worked fine for me. Did you change any of the settings or is it still using the default? Are you using a controller or keyboard and mouse?
