I see. Aldo's tools Ps3_updater utility programatically pulls updates directly from PSN servers, and psndl.net has a pretty good verified library.
My friend who gave me the above info is also building complete iso's for 650 gb of content through PSN Liberator. I can put you in contact wit him if you're interested.
