The game frequently goes on sale, and so do bundles for it. The 4-pack usually goes for cheaper than a single copy too. The game is often super cheap on Steam, and online still works for it last I checked. I'd say just pay a couple bucks for a 4-pack next time it's on sale and gift your friends the extra copies!
Never got released on the PS2 in the US.
