I mean you very much can. Of course, sometimes you might get an answer that won't satisfy you, but that's life eh? Feel free to ask for ROMs, even if you aren't asking for them to be put on here - people are more than happy to give you some handy dandy links to what you want. But I do recommend that if it's a newer system that you don't ask for them to be added here because the answer will typically be the same "no" for a few years.
