PS Vita and account set up

I fully understand and respect the whole "2 generations" rule, but I don't see Sony releasing another portable soon (although, the switch and Steam deck might encourage them), so does this mean PS Vita games will never be added if Sony don't release 2 more handhelds?
P.s when setting up this account, I was originally gonna call myself 'no' (I just wanted to see what the bottom box would do if ticked) but a chrome pop up said usernames had to be 3 to 15 characters long, so I added another 'o', but the site then told me it had to be 4 to 20 characters long. Just letting you know.
