Well what are your specs, in game emulator settings and the games that you are trying to emulate first?

I've been trying to get the PS2 emulator to run on my laptop. I'm not sure if it's just too old or what. I know I'm not super tech savvy, so messing with the settings I don't understand much. I have tried several tutorials. It lags really bad on cut scenes but it will run normal outside of cut scenes.
