Why isn't DeSmuME listed under DS emulators?

Asking purely out of curiosity, why isn't DeSmuME listed under the DS emulators? The only one listed here is melonDS. If that's the only one Vimm has listed, does that mean it's better than DeSmuME? Should I switch to using melonDS instead?
