I'm not the owner of the site and thus I'll give you an imperfect answer but this question has been asked (and answered) many times and the main reply is that it's better not to know things in details...
In my country we have a say about this which basically translates as "to live happy, let's live hidden". It doesn't sound good in English (as it's a rather literal translation from French), but it means that you'll live happier by sneaking in the shadows that shining in the spotlight... This way you don't get the annoying (unwanted) attention you don't really need...

I absolutely love how reliable and clean this site is. The perfect site for game preservation, and allows me to explore video game history one game at a time (with quality nkit roms at that!) How likely is this site prone to Nintendo's legal wrath? Does anyone know how this site operates?
