What happened to the torrent experiment?

Hi, apologies if this has already been asked. But I'm curious to know what the outcome was of the trackerless torrent experiment from late 2021 (I think). It just seemed like such a great idea to alleviate server load and I figured goodwill would keep them well seeded. Was it a lack of seeding or was there a different issue?
