the future of emulation

do you think the new generation of consoles, or more the current state of the gaming industry for the console market, will cause a decline in effort to emulate the Series X and PS5 later down the line when those consoles become obsolete?
it may be too early to judge being only 2-3 years into the lives of these consoles but it seems all games that would be xbox exclusive gets brought over to pc and a lot of ps5 exclusives are remakes of older games (at least for now).
plus with keyboard and mouse support being implemented into todays console games more and more...
