im thinkin the capacity for CDs back then were smaller but looking up information about that, it doesnt seem like it would be the case...

As I'm downloading games for PSOne it occurred to me that there are several multi-disk games where the size would actually fit on one standard CD-ROM rather than two. I'm guessing the reason they split it into to CD-Roms was to lesson load times??
