Cannot download N64 manuals

I am apparently unable to download manuals from the N64 Manual Project. When I try to download such a manual in PDF format, it gives me the error message "Exception occurred in pdf sample: [1016] : Couldn't open JPEG file... for reading (file not found)". Similarly, when I try to download the same manual in VLM format, the webpage simply hangs. What's the deal?
