Re: Emulation

I imagine some parts of emulation will evolve faster than others. There's always copy-protection schemes that take longer to crack than others, obscure hardware tricks in the games that emulation gets all screwy, and so on. There's not even a 100% perfect NES emulator out there yet, though FCE Ultra comes pretty close (It still has problems with some Camerica games, as well as Ghoul School). SNES emulation still has a long way to go as far as sound goes; Super Castlevania IV is an excellent example of that.

It never occurred to me years ago that there would be PS2 emulation. Shows how far I think ahead. lol With new systems and online updates and yadda yadda yadda do you think PS4/XBOXONE generations will be the last emulated systems in some years? XBOXONE nearly went online all the time, but as we all already know that changed. What will happen for the next generation? Just throwing some thoughts around.
