AdBlock's whitelist will make sure it won't block ads (as in, this site's ads are safe for you to look at/not annoying). I know youre correct with some of the programs but not the one I am using.

I am probably wrong, but adding a site to an adblockers whitelist will mean that said adblocker doesnt attempt to block ads. This could potentially take up resources that are needed to help you download at 500kb/s.
