Re: ps2 catalogue

PS2 was at the sweet spot. The userbase was huge, game development didn't break the bank so there was a lot of mid-budget experimental games, games were finished within 1-3 years, shipped complete. I don't think we will ever see a game console like it again.
I got a Steam Deck so that I could use it as a hybrid PS2(other consoles and older PC games are a bonus).

I grew up with a PS2 but couldn't afford many games. I had somewhat mainstream taste in games, so I never really explored many titles and mostly played shovelware, sports, racing, or war games. Now, it's insane how many good or worthwhile games this console had. Man, I wish modern consoles had even a fraction of the games they used to. My PS5 (bought with a huge discount from a friend, no, I did not spend 500 euros on that brick) has seen less action since day one than PCSX2 in a month. It's actually insane.
