Under "Option", select "Joypads", then the "Redefine keys" button, just to the right of the Player 1 section.

Tricob, I guess adding in the bits of detail here would have helped, but I forgot to mention that I'm using a directional/analog 10 button (does the start and select button count?). I looked over the entire menu options etc etc. and found nothing that allowed me to configure or use the numberic keypad. Am I missing something here or is the numeric keypad stuff built into the emu that's not seen?
