JJR 2 has been free for a while; check Freeware categories for that. I think you'll find it hard to get good discontinued Windows games all from one place; the sites tend to lump releases together made for certain OSs and disregard the rest. It got this way when Windows 7 came out, and then Windows 8 came out to spread things farther apart. You can blame the DirectX updates for that.

Normally the rule of thumb is that if its not on GOG its on myabandonware. I do have JJR2 functionning no issue on a 2019 computer but i do recall i got it on a jackrabbit fansite.
