I'm not sure how the link can be broken if you have downloaded the game and booted it up...
As far as the issue with the game goes I was really only able to find this one the PCSX2 wiki:
Ingame is a mess of missing and broken graphics with MicroVU1. Software mode is slightly better, but still very broken. VU1 must be in SuperVU and software mode on.
it seems like the game is just buggy and difficult in general. That being the case there's really nothing to it. Providing us with more information could yield results. What settings did you use, what are you machines specs, did you use PCSX2 or a different emulator, ect.?

Freezes during start up. Only thing I got to do was create a profile , brokeb link
