Re: Getting a pc to run project 64 for my brother

Raspberry Pi 4 might be worth looking into. Here's a video showing off performance. It's pretty decent for the most part but a few games do struggle with it

And Batocera is a good looking operating system for it. It boots right into your games and has box art for each one

Another great operating system is Retropie

You might also want to check out ETA Prime if the Raspberry Pi 4 isn't your thing. He has a bunch of videos about emulation on inexpensive computers

Hey everyone, my special needs brother has been playing N64 since him and I were little kids, and recently the n64 finally gave out and it's been difficult trying to keep everything working for him. We've decided though that project 64 might be the best route for him and I'm trying to figure out some lower tier specs that aren't too expensive for a pc that he can use to play his favorite games. Are Intel Graphics enough for project 64 to run smooth enough to where he wouldn't be freaking out or anything over bad quality? 30 fps is fine probably too since he doesn't mind so long as it runs and everything works. We thought about getting an optiplex pc from dell with an i3 processor and 8 GB ram and a decent hard drive. Let me know what people think if this is okay, thank you!
