I've tried updating it to multiple different vers. to no success. I'll have to look into dumping my own game! I'd have to assume that most of the games not working comes from bad dumps or errors, so maybe that's the best place to start.

The RPCS3 site has a guide on dumping your own game discs. Requires a certain blu-ray drive and specific software though so be aware. Like derpysnake mentioned, check the compatibility list to see what games are playable. you may also want to install the game updates as those may be requires for the game to run properly. google and youtube will help there
