Does anyone feel lag/uncomfortableness from Bsnes

Maybe I'm being paranoid here, and I do hope that's the case, but does anyone feel lag/uncomfortableness from playing BSNES compared to a SNES?
Because I compared playing Super Mario World on a SNES to BSNES and I felt more comfortable/less lag playing on a SNES compared to BSNES.
The SNES9x retroarch core works fine when I was playing EarthBound last time on my computer, so I just feel it only with BSNES.
I think if I never owned a SNES, BSNES would feel just fine to play on.
