7zip and winrar won't "extract" nkit files. nkit is not compression per se rather it scrubbs the junk data from the game iso making the file much smaller. nkit files should work in dolphin.
What format are you trying to download ?
Have you tried others ?
Have you checked that the file is completing and is the same size as it should be based on the file you are trying to dl ?
