Re: What were the prices?

I found these spiffy charts about the price of consoles and what they would be if you took inflation into consideration. History of Console Prices

I didn't buy my SNES, Genesis, and NES when they first came out and back then consoles would go on sale. So I don't think I payed more than $100 each for the SNES and Genesis and only $50 for the NES.

The only games I remember buying were the SNES port of DOOM and I overpayed at $50-$60. I still have TMNT: Tournament Fighters for the NES and according to the sticker on it I payed $27 for it Used. That has to be the most I payed for any game Used.

OK, so I can remember going into funcoland and seeing the consoles on sale. I can remember the games behind the glass and the posters on the walls. But I can't remember the prices! How much was an average sega/snes game anyways? I know all about inflation and realize that games today are actually cheaper in comparison to back in the day. How much was the sega? SNES consoles? The games?
