Breath of Fire sucks

Yeah I never liked the Breath of Fire series. Especially the PSX versions. I felt it had terrible character designs, long and boring conversations, and a generic storyline. It was the same old same old when, at that time, there were so many unique rpgs coming out like Suikoden 1&2, Tales of Destiny, Star Ocean 2, Xenogears, and Final Fantasy VII.

I'll second that. I've said it before, but it seems there's not much action in classic emulation anymore. Last month I tossed up a couple new translations (Breath of Fire 2 and something else...) but that's about all the excitement I've seen lately. I never got around to playing BoF2 (BoF didn't really excite me) and I didn't realize it's translation was so horrible.
