Seeing as no one has written a review, I feel that I must. I've always loved fishing, and I've always loved video games, so a good fishing game is great for those rainy days when ya can't go for real. This was probably the best fishing game, save for the new age era, there's some pretty cool games out now.

About as good as it gets for the 16 bit era. The fish look like what they're supposed too.

Pretty damn good sound. Rain sounds fairly real, the bird call you keep hearing must be a real one, because I hear the EXACT same bird when I go fishing at the river.

Gameplay: 10
Best part of it obviously, as this it what makes truly great games. Controls are just right, simple but effective, and landing a bigger fish can be quite a challenge. Game host multiple species, including 20-some lb catfish, walley, pike, bluegill, crappie, muskie, and obviously all three of the black bass family. Also keeps records for each of the species. I remember when I would rent the game at the local movie store, I would recognize a couple friends, and we could compete week in, week out, for the record fish. Of course the memory was on board the game cartridge, don't ya miss the good ol days?

Best old school fishing game you're going to find, as far as I'm concerned. Good replay value, as good of a replay value as you can have for a fishing game I would assume.

If you like fishing games and haven't tried this one, go right ahead. Sure to please if this is what you're looking for. If you're a Final Fantasy geek who has never seen the real sunlight and think the outdoors is evil because there are bugs, this might not be for you, lol.
