This is a pretty strange game. Seems like the genesis is the only system that had lots of games where you ran around randomly slaying things. Same sort of concept as General Chaos except you got one guy running around whacking lots of other guys in a fantasy setting.

The graphics were pretty good. No jerky animations really except when you die, and unfortunately if you play this game you'll most likely see that a lot cuz it's hard to figure out what's going on. All the weapons and enemies look pretty nice. Pretty solid as far as genesis graphics go.

Sound: 7
The sound wasn't bad but it certainly wasn't anything special. None of the songs really caught my ear. Just some basic songs that loop I think. The songs didn't detract much but they could probably get annoying after a while.

What I heard most of the time, rather than music, was all the explosion sound effects when ever you use some magic scroll thing that shoots fireballs everywhere (and there are lots of magic scroll things.)

Gameplay: 5
This is where the game wasn't so up to par. You start off looking at a weird map thing. It's not particularly pretty but it's not the whole game thankfully.

If you attack an enemy territory, which is anything that's not your territory, then you go into a sort of side scrolling platform/hack and slash scenario. As far as I can tell you're just supposed to run around killing guys and also get some staff thing at the end of the level until you win. For some reason there are two life bars and if either one of them run out you die.

If you get past that part of the game you fight an enemy commander which turns into a weird shooter. You're a hand that can move around the edge of the screen and shoot green energy balls at a face with four arms that shoots orange energy balls back at you.

Overall this isn't a game anyone would want to sit down and play for hours. Maybe a few minutes. The concept is interesting, but the gameplay isn't very refined. I don't know how long it would take to beat the game but it looks like there's a whole bunch of territories. As far as I could see there isn't any way to save so don't play this game if you're expecting to accomplish something. Even with an emulator the game still gets old after about 15 minutes.

This seems like it was probably a game more fitting for the arcade. There is no immediate point to the game, and definitely no good story line. If you try this game out and for some reason decide you like games like this, I'd suggest playing General Choas for the genesis or Smash TV because they're better.
