Golgo 13 was probably one of the hardest games I've ever played. Based on the popular Anime/Manga series, you play as Duke Togo, a highly skilled and high priced Assassin whom gets caught up in a dangerous conspiracy.

Graphics: 7
Not too bad for an NES game. The cut scenes were really good and though there was some lag it wasn't bad enough to affect the gameplay. Character sprites could have been a lot better!

Sound: 3
Unfortunately the sound was horrid on this game. There were very few levels with good music, and sound effects weren't too bad but then again weren't too good either.

Gameplay: 8
The gameplay is tough and action packed. The scenes include side scrolling either on foot, in a chopper, or underwater, first person shooting scenes, first person sniping scenes, first person maze running scenes ala pathways to darkness, and indoor scenes where you meet characters and gather info. So this game has a bit of everything and its quite challenging!

Overall: 8
This game is pretty challenging and you will undoubtedly spend hours trying to beat it. Horrible sound and sub-par sprites aside this game is a definite hit and will undoubtedly be well received by anyone whom was a fan of the Manga/Anime.

Being that I was a fan of the Anime/Manga I had to play it. Believe it or not this game can be very addicting!
