Xevious is a unique NES game that is based off the 1982 arcade game by Namco. This game does a nice job of porting the arcade game to the NES. The arcade game is one of the first vertically scrolling shooters and is a classic in the arcades and on the NES.

The graphics are nicely done for this port and looks almost identical to the arcade game. The graphics catch the sprit of the arcade game. Grade A

Sound: 8
Sound is good, but can be a little rusty on the music, but the sound does the trick. The sounds are very well done, like the bomb drops and the shots you fire with the ship. Grade A-

Now here is where the game really shines. The controls are very well done and the concept is second to none. What you do is shoot enemies with one button and drop bombs with another. Grade A+

Overall this game is awesome and does a nice job of recreating the game on the NES hardware. This game is also pretty hard, like most shooters of the 80's. This game is not quite perfect because of the sound, but this game is very good. Final grade for Xevious. A

Bring back the NES for everyone now and in the future.
