Can you check if it works with a PC emulator so you can check just see if it downloaded weirdly that first time

I just wanted to let you know that the Animal Crossing - Wild World (USA) (Rev 1) ROM keeps causing a data abort error (after the intro with kapp'n where you arrive at the town hall) when playing using nds-bootstrap/twilight menu ++

I tried downloading another ROM from a different website which seems to work fine, so I assume there's might be something wrong with the ROM from here?
