nvm i just figured it out.
i already know wii has backwards compatibility with GC, but i neither have a GC controller nor a GC game cd. so i need to use nintendont.

On Wii, it's not emulation, since the Wii has Gamecube hardware built into the motherboard which GC games run on.
I don't remember having to do anything with IDs using Nintendont. If that's what you're using, you should be fine just putting the ISOs on an SD card as-is.
