The first game never came out on Xbox or PS2, only arcade and Dreamcast. It's not in the PS2 vault, so I don't know what you were seeing there. The PS1 vault has Soul Edge, the predecessor to the Soulcalibur series. Soulcalibur 2 was the first to come to Xbox and PS2.
Has anyone been able to locate a copy of the rom for Xbox? Its in the vault for PS2, but I haven't seen it in the Xbox Vault
