Resident Evil games for PS

Im having trouble trying to play these games. Every Resident evil game that I downloaded was able to work fine but the graphics were messed up. The images on the screen froze and I'm not able to see the detail of the graphics very clear. Is there a way to work around this? I'm currently using the PSxe emulator..
