Is the emulator reading the right microphone? I've had similar problems where the fix is setting default mic in windows and setting it correctly in the application.
i have a microphone for my pc. but when i try to play guitar hero world tour for ps2 it wouldnt read my microphone and i couldnt play the game. same for rock band
