Time to move away from Project64.

Yes, I signed up just to say this. But Project64 1.6 has had a quite recent breakthrough with using ACE to have things like malware run on the host computer. Aglab2 demonstrated this with a simple mod that opened "Never Gonna Give You up" by Rick Astley on your default browser. Although you might think this is ok because newer versions out but no, you'd be wrong. Some newer versions of Project64 came with Malware/Adware then also the screen also in newer versions having a 30 second nag screen asking you to donate. I think Project64 should be replaced with "Link's Gliden64" (very accurate) or Parallel Launcher (very easy to set up, near no effort).
