I think it's more about roms that are on the Online service. Nintendo thinks piracy is preventing people from paying monthly or yearly to temporarily play their games and not own them. Piracy is pretty much owning them, no strings attached. Nintendo wants to keep games in a vault so you keep asking and paying them for games that released 20-30 years ago. If Nintendo were an honest company, they would let you buy their roms and keep them instead of paying every month or every year. It's so slimey.

if Nintendo is taking down all the "Mario" ROMS then Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door would have been taken down, too. especially since it had a remake that just came out last week.
